I'm usually good at learning to play by ear, but this is a type of progression that I am not familiar with and the quality of the video doesn't help so I'm having a bit of trouble. I can't find this song anywhere else on the Internet, and I know there are people here who have better hearing than I do so I thought I'd ask someone to take a shot at it. The video is here. Many thanks to anyone who can help me out!

Alright. Here's what I'm hearing. It starts with D Major, then walks down from there cramatically with that bass line. So you have D, then D-Flat with A Major, then C with an A Minor, then B Major. Then switch to E major, E-Flat with B Major, D with the B minor, and then when you hit A major, augment the A to a B-Flat. Then back to D, etc. The rest is just variations on that same deal. I'm awful at explaining theory, so I hope that made some semblance of sense.

Oh yes this does help, although I am pretty sure is an E minor, not major...but the rest of it was what I was having trouble with. Are you a guitarist as well? How do I play those something-over-something-else chords?

Woops. Yeah,
e Minor's what I meant. Heh. Not much of a guitarist, so I would have to work out the fingering on those. I mostly play keyboard and harmonica.

Anytime. Glad you could make sense of it. Heh. Not the sort of stuff I normally listen to, but it's a nice little piece. I like the way it's put together.
